Is time indeed a revealer?

 If not for someone's status I saw yesterday, I wouldn't know we only have a hundred days left in the year two thousand and twenty-three. How time flies!

A flashback happened in my memory of the goals, plans, and things I said I wanted to achieve for the year. I remember some years back as an undergraduate, I said if I finished my service year, a reasonable and well-paying job would be the surest thing for me.

Where does that even stem from? Is it because my dad is influential, a faith affirmation, or the value I carry?

Maybe the three but it looks like the reverse is the case as I started a job I never imagined I could do. Dealing with people at the bottom of the economic pyramid is humbling and it's a story for another time. I am learning and I believe it is part of the seasons in my life.

I learned time doesn't change anything, it only reveals. It reveals those days of intentional steps in bringing out the best version of yourself.

Did I waste time, get uninterested in things easily, or lack focus at a point? I don't know where I missed it but I move as my worst days are behind me and better days are ahead of me. 

I know I can do better and continue to channel my energy toward that which I want.

The Fatherhood of God

 “Am I not your father?"

That was a rhetorical question my dad asked me while trying to take full responsibility for some bills and the fact that I shouldn't be bothering him again for some things. 

It depicts too much running through my head and the fact that I will like to carry myself at this point, he has tried for me so far.

The question melted my heart and I felt like crying. 

This is my experience with my earthly father and that caught my attention when my heavenly father is calling my attention to his fatherhood dimension.

Fountain of living waters

My source and sustainer.

The one who numbers the very hairs of my head.

The lilies grow neither toiling nor spinning.

The one who clothes the grass, which is today in the field, and tomorrow cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe us?

The one who feeds the birds in the air, how much more?

If he is that intentional about the things we are to dominate, how much more are we that were made in his image and likeness?

God is saying, “Am I not your father?

Awaiting the wisdom of God to be unraveled in being a helper and rendered helpless,

Heaven was silent,

Forsaken,

He has to bear the pain of the cross,

Oh! What a sacrifice,

Darkness covered the day,

Veil was torn, the earth shook, and rocks rent.

Grave opened, bodies arose, and death is now a lie.

Joseph begged Pilate 

The body released and wrapped,

Sepulcher sure, stone sealed, and watch set until the third day,

Wisdom unraveled in his power.

 Earthquake, the stone rolled, he is not here, for he is risen

Risen in victory

His perfect love could not be overcome

PERSPECTIVE ABOUT WOMEN LEADERSHIP

 

About a year ago, I was in a meeting where a woman was addressing us. A guy at my back said, “why are women leading everywhere?"

 I was reluctant to talk at first but later on, I was like, “do you have a problem with that?"

He said he doesn't just like it.

I think that will be the first time I heard and see someone expressly who is not pleased with women taking the lead.

 I couldn't really engage him but that kind of man tends to see their wife's success as a threat or won't even want to empower them or any female folks.

I know if it was a man leading, he won't talk. I believe for anyone to be in a position, it shows they have what it takes in terms of capacity, delivery, knowledge, and value forgetting any biological configuration.

Women are more celebrated and appreciated when they are leading and doing great in their various fields because of the prior notion that they are weaker vessels, nothing much is expected from the gender, they ought to submit, and a lot of misconceptions.

Or they probably think women are weak because they are emotional.

I say, crying is not a sign of weakness, and holding up (man up as it is popularly called) is not a sign of strength. Standing tall and coming out of the situation as a better person is what we call strength.

Wives are to submit to their husbands in the lord and not women submitting to men in any other setting asides from an authority figure.  If you have a problem with that? Then if your boss is a female, you can resign. I bet you don't want to try that.

The submission is in the confines of marriage. Note the Lordship of Christ there. Your head must have a head. If not, it's dangerous. That's why you are covered when your head submits to Christ knowing fully well that any of his direction and leading has been subject to his lordship.

I know you will tell me to show you the evidence of his goodness, especially in down and trying times

We tend to think it's only when things are sweet and rosy that we can confess the goodness of God 

I don't need to say much because the testimony of creation is enough evidence to reveal to us the goodness of God

How that he is mindful of us

Making us who are the last of what he created to dominate others

Oh!! How thoughtful and mindful

Where were you when the foundation of the earth was laid?? and many more rhetorical questions were the response of God to Job at that moment when it seems like the world was against him?

What is now the definition of God's goodness when the physical is not depicted that

I guess there is a need for a mind shift 

 It's high time we see the definition of his goodness from the light of his personality rather than subjecting it to different timings and phases of life.

God is good

All things work together for good of them that love God. He finetunes all things to work together for our good.

Maintain your confession irrespectively.

As much as we are believing that Nigeria will eventually work out, we still need to state out some facts.

 Faith is not denying the visible but knowing what God's will is concerning the situation and trusting him as we embark on the walk.

When a country is void of a working system, frustration sets in and citizens will have to start seeking possible options. 

No one desire to remain stagnant or keep journeying in a circle. 

For many, the possible options irrespective of the hectic processes one will pass through are life-changing decisions. 

Alas! breakthrough from the shackles of a crawling economic situation and epileptic system of government.

The reasons are justified and understandable sincerely but, to those still around, do not be pressured. 

As Nigeria is currently experiencing an exodus, be fully persuaded and prepared before going.

 Get every necessary information needed to the tiniest details.

And please, to avoid compound frustration, don't go without a word from God. What gives one fulfillment in life is being at the center of his will, knowing what to do and where he will have us be per time. 

I am not saying this to hide under the shadow of mediocrity or complacency. 

I will love to explore and compete globally which I know will be done with ease and at the correct time but, let's get our passports in case any opportunity unfolds.

To everyone at home and in the diaspora, ridiculing Nigeria to make a point is self-immolation. 

We are all eternally connected to Nigeria, and whatever image we project of our country, we make of ourselves. Watch your confession over Nigeria.

SAPA~  the lamentation of the present undeniable economic state of the country, birthing hilarious theories and solving formulas.

It's the way Nigerians bring out a sense of humor in every occurrence for me.

Truth be told, more than half of Nigeria's population struggles every day to obtain the necessities of life.

Where most people lie their heads for comfort have turned into tear absorbers as a result of hunger pangs and living as a shadow of themselves.

They are left with no choice but to live by the available and not the desirable.

Alas! ours is not close to Samaria's famine experience and I know it won't reach the point where people will start eating their children all for survival's sake. 

The miraculous wrought by God was beyond the imaginable and I believe the same is possible.

In our country today, what can be synonymous with fine flour sold for a shekel in Samaria?

Dollar or Rice?

Nothing is impossible.

I speak prosperity on the works of your hands.

And, Hear ye the word of the Lord, there is abundance in Zion.

Identify and shift your focus on what lies in Zion.

The happenings around are voicing out a lot.

What is your response? What are you voicing out?

You can also echo your reality to the end that nature and forces of the earth will hear you and are propelled to work in your favor beyond the consensus of mortals.

Don't let your case be like the man in the book of 2nd Kings who saw the abundance but couldn't be a partaker of it.

Believe it is possible, be hopeful, and don't close your mind to seeing possibilities.

As you see abundance, extend the tentacles, and don't enjoy the blessing alone. The little kindness goes a long way.
