My Easter Story

 Conspiracy,

Betrayal,

Delivered,

For just 30 pieces of silver,

Prophecy fulfilled,

Late repentance,

Questions,

Identity answered,

Silence,

 A Choice of freedom to many,

The wrong yet prophetic choice was made,

Innocence sensed,

Hands washed,

An exchange,

The criminal is released while the savior is delivered to be crucified,

Stripped, the crown of thorns on his head and staff in his hands for mockery.

Spat on and struck,

Simon of Cyrene helped,

Vinegar and gall mixed at Golgotha,

Garment parted to cast lots,

Authority questioned,

Insulted and mocked,

Silent and obedient even to the death on the cross, 

Awaiting the wisdom of God to be unraveled in being a helper and rendered helpless,

Cry of help to Abba,

Heaven was silent,

Forsaken,

He has to bear the pain of the cross,

Oh! What a sacrifice,

Darkness covered the day,

Veil was torn, the earth shook, and rocks rent.

Grave opened, bodies arose, and death is now a lie.

Joseph begged Pilate 

The body released and wrapped,

Sepulcher sure, stone sealed, and watch set until the third day,

Wisdom unraveled in his power.

 Earthquake, the stone rolled, he is not here, for he is risen

Risen in victory

His perfect love could not be overcome 

Hallelujah

No fear but joy of resurrection

We dance on an empty grave💃

Jesus is alive

We are overcomers
