My whasapp display picture still reminds me of when the protest was still an hot cake. The outcry of the citizens drew the attention of the world to the current state of the country.
This brought about the protest as a way of expressing our grieviances and the fact that history should not repeat itself as to what we want an end to.
From the protest, to the government's decision, to lekki masscere, to hoodlums hijacking the protest, then down to the silence as it were.
Even thou, the protest was all about *“End SARS"*, but we all know that the other silent heart cries over the failed system in our dear country indeed fueled the continuity of the protest.
Nothing is practically working in different sectors we have here in Nigeria. Why? An average Nigerian is thinking of a means to leaving the country at any cost through any means.
Down the memory lane, the peaceful protest started because of different records on how Nigerian youths specifically are been maltreated by this Special Anti_robbery sqad popularly known as “sars".
Sars who should be protecting the citizens are now known to assault, brutalize, extort, threaten and make life unbearable for the citizens.
Many lives has been lost by SARS coupled with the record of police brutality. The place of police accidental discharge can not as well be over emphasized.
All we want is a deliberate and effective strategy the force in general should put in place to avoid all these, coupled with the general agitation of end sars.
The government later came up with SWAT; SARS in disguise. What difference does it make?
It was a protest that turns all and sundry up from different spheres of influence, likewise Nigerians in diaspora were also not exempted.
I believe the “endsars" protest was not a waste of time and resources because many things were unfolded during the course of settling this matter.
The fact that with one voice in unity, we can achieve a course and call the whole world's attention to hearing our own opinion about matters arising.
There are still a lots to write home about but, let me stop here. Out of the ashes Nigeria rise. What has to end in Nigeria from your end?
